My name is Daniel Demski, and I believe in things. I believe that life is something that can be figured out. I believe that intelligence is the ultimate good. I believe that life is full of infinite possibilities for understanding, and that boredom is due to blindness to this fact.
These beliefs make me overly driven to accomplish things. I am trying to learn Latin, for example. I believe that the world is filled with people who randomly do things in an attempt to find intellegent behavior. The more these random things are done, the easier they get because society as a whole learns to do them. When they reach a certain level of ease, they become actually useful, and make life better for people. There are easier ways to make life better, like feeding the starving, but not many of us do them- perhaps we realise how temporary they can be. Meanwhile, the portion of the world which is not starving is quickly evolving. Use of technology is increasing the intelligence quotient of our culture by allowing the individual's intelligence to be more fluidly applied accross society. I am learning about computers because it will take everyone's united efforts to bring computers to their full potential. Software developers are needed who can make computers meet ever-higher user expectations, and help people to do anything they want to do with them.
Yet I myself am not sure what the computer's place is. I still prefer the traditional writing methods, keeping a journal written in a book I made myself with a fountain pen filled with ink I made myself. If I were able, I would write this journal in Latin, just as an intellectual exercise. So though I enjoy writing, and though what I write is often something I would like to make visible online, I may not often put it in this blog.
However, I do often take the time to respond to emails with intellectual dissertation of the type that I would keep in this blog if I were more diligent. Email me if you wish to discuss religeous or philosophical matters, or perhaps politics as it relates to the way the world is headed.
